My name is Kirsten, and I live on QLD’s Fraser Coast with my husband and 3 youngest children.

I have always been a cloth nappy user - I used the "old fashioned" flat squares from when my eldest was born over 18 years ago. I started using modern cloth when my 3rd child was due 6 years ago, and using cloth menstrual pads became what seems to me, a natural progression.

I started my business almost 6 years ago now, selling cloth pads and nappies at the local markets in a desire to show people that cloth nappies can be easy - most people had never seen or heard of modern cloth nappies. Soon after, I started selling pads online at the clothpadshop and eventually opened my own store here to broaden what I can make and sell.  

  
Making and selling pads and nappies has become a way to indulge my love of beautiful and interesting fabrics, and a very satistfying creative outlet. I am so glad that what I do is contributing to helping the earth that my children and grandchildren will inherit.
